Our blog’s header image depicts part of the site at Kellis (modern Ismant el-Kharab in Egypt). The photo was taken by staff of the NYU Excavations at Amheida and published via the Ancient World Image Bank. We have cropped it to fit the WordPress theme and re-used it here under terms of the Creative Commons Attribution license under which it was published.
