    Great to see the LiDAR News site being linked. In a similar vein there is the Center for LiDAR Information Coordination and Knowledge (CLICK) here: http://lidar.cr.usgs.gov/ Although it is US-centric, you can download LiDAR data sets to experiment with which can be very useful!
